Recently, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Weihai City held a park green space opening and sharing ceremony in Yuehai Park. This year, Weihai will pilot the opening and sharing of 20 park green areas to meet the new demand of the general public to get close to nature, leisure and recreation, sports and fitness.

In the green space on the east side of Lighthouse Square in Yuehai Park, large and small tents were scattered, and the atmosphere of the spring tour immediately came to the surface. Sitting under the tent, looking up is the landmark lighthouse, and looking back is the beautiful sea view, such a comfortable and pleasant relaxation.

This green space is one of the 20 pilot areas of open and shared park green space in Weihai. In order to allow the public and tourists to fully enjoy the green space, but also to provide the green space to recuperate the management time, Yuehai Park Lighthouse Square east of a total of A, B two green space, open in turn. Among them, the A area is open on a single day and the B area is open on a double day, open for 24 hours.

On the shared green space, the public can set up tents, picnics and carry out sports, leisure and entertainment projects that have a lighter impact on the green space. Tents can be brought in or rented from the park management unit. Park management will also arrange for the public to set up tents in reasonable locations according to the use of the green space. In addition, additional supporting facilities such as drying racks, garbage cans and direct drinking water facilities have been set up on site to provide convenience for the public and visitors.

"The open and shared green space in Yuehai Park has a better foundation, with beautiful scenery and more complete children's play facilities, etc. It is very suitable for creating an open and shared space to extend the leisure and entertainment life of the public." The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau said that this year, after a comprehensive mapping of 13 coastal parks and 46 mountain green nuclei of various sizes that have been built in the urban area, it was decided to open 20 parks and green spaces, with the advantage of the mountains and the sea, to create a first-class coastal green space open landscape and ecological visual landscape corridor, highlighting the characteristics and taste of Weihai's exquisite city construction.

According to statistics, the 20 open and shared parks and green areas, the shared area of about 1,151,000 square meters, can carry 16,000 visitors. Among them, 18 green areas are open all year round, and 2 are open for part of the time. "All 20 park green areas are well equipped with public toilets, garbage collection points, vending stores, security monitoring facilities and so on." The person in charge said the garden department will also carry out a comprehensive census of the city's park green spaces, replant street trees and tall trees, and increase the space for undergrowth activities. With the gradual maturity of the park green space open sharing, the city will continue to expand the open sharing area, explore the path of fully open urban park green space, to create a harmonious blend of mountain, water, people, city "coastal park city".
